Hyderabad: Badangpet, Shankarpally center of illegal structures
From mid-January, the Hyderabad metropolitan development authority and its related district task force officials conducted a demolition drive to destruct the illegal constructions in and around the city.
The team has noticed that there are many illegal constructions across shankarpalli, badangpet, pochampally, and dundigal localities.
Apart from all this, there are more unauthorized constructions up to around 35% are found in the medchal zone. this team came into action last year on December 9 when commissioners of the localities in the HMDA were authorized to demolish the unauthorized constructions and take appropriate actions.
However, the team of HMDA gave poor results, and the commissioner of MDA ordered make a separate team of district force officials surveys illegal constructions. he has set up a tremendous and worthier 4 teams who will be conducting field surveys in terms of HMDA.
Till now there are up to 168 demolished structures that are bald without a valid permit, Exceeding the ambit of approved layout and constructions in the government land. the team announced that there are rapid illegal constructions during this drive which are built with the panchayat officials’ permissions.
Officials said the panchayat permissions were valid only for structures within 600 square yards. HMDA officials also issued a statement saying that gram panchayat permissions were not valid for G+2 residential buildings and approvals must be taken through the online Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-bPASS) only. Since the online system has come into force in November 2020, any such permissions obtained through the gram panchayats should be made to apply fresh under the TS-bPASS adjusting the fee paid so far with the revised rates, officials explained.
